For years I have been in communication with Ascended Masters and Angels, but rarely did I invite them to a writing session with me. For years I had the particular Ascended Master, Amaterasu, the Japanese Shinto sun Goddess tell me that I needed to come out of the closet with my Spirituality. Here I am, finally listening to her. Another area of my life I have spend a lot of time in the closet is with my writing. After going to Catholic school since grade 4, I was afraid that I would be socially crucified if I were to tell anyone that my dinner conversations with my parents consisted of energy healing, Law of Attraction and the mind/body connection. It became engrained that these sorts of things could be talked about at home, but beyond that kind of safety my lips were sealed. It has taken me this long to try and break that kind of conditioning and even as I write this I feel almost frozen with fear. It has come to that point, however, where if I am going to be truly authentic, then this I must write.
I struggle on and off with writing and my own creative process. Mostly, I have daily battles with my inner critic and most of the time that voice wins leaving me paralyzed and the blank pages in my journal remain crisp and white. I am tired of this battle. I am tired of being afraid to be my authentic self, so I have called upon the big guns. Archangel Gabriel, Saraswati and Thoth are some of the deities I call upon often to help me. In fact, every time I go to teach a yoga class I wear my Archangel Gabriel bracelet and set the intention that my message be clear and for my students highest and best interest.
How can you access your own deity? If the idea of that kind of image doesn’t resonate with you, it doesn’t matter. Everything comes down to energy. I call upon those particular Masters because those vibrations resonate with me. You could also access the greats such as Walt Whitman, F. Scott Fitzgerald or Gertrude Stein, or you could access your Higher Self, your inner Guru, the part of you that speaks from the heart and guides you through your intuition. Whatever feels good and authentic to you. In order to access these higher vibrations before a writing session, you need to get quiet. Light a candle or incense. Sit in a comfortable position, allow your sit bones to settle into the floor or if you are in a chair, make sure your feet are flat and connect in with the Earth below you. Begin to listen to your breath without the need to control it. Don’t worry about your thoughts, your goal isn’t to get rid of them, your goal is to release your attachment to having thoughts. Try to avoid getting caught up in the thoughts and creating story lines out of them, just observe and let them go. Allow your sit bones to get even heavier until you have this sense that you are completely supported by the earth below you. Allow the tension to melt away and when you feel as if you are cruising to a still point, you can ask this being of High Vibration to help you with your writing, or help you get the blockages unstuck, or whatever the case may be. Allow whatever answer comes up to be okay. If you are greeted with silence, let that be okay as well, the answer can come to you in the strangest of ways.
I would love to hear all about your experiences after trying this.
